how to change from 1x to evdo or another x
 

I saw it somewhere on the forum. I changed it to 1x to conserve battery. But now I couldn't find that post. It's hard to do a search with only 2 characters "1x"

Please help me out

I don't know if changing EV to 1x is a setting or a registry hack. I know that I did it before. my PPC used to be EV all the time, then I read something on this forum and changed it to 1x. Now even after 2 hard reboot, my Device is always on 1x.

Because of the change, with 1x, my reception is much lower.

BTW, what's TTY mode?
