Inserting miniSD card locks phone up

Inserting miniSD card locks phone up. I just got a Kingston 2 gB micro SD card w/mini adapter. The card woks as I can see it when plugged into a card reader on my desktop. When I plug it into my 6700 it locks the phone up, no buttons work at all. Popping it back out returns things to normal. I thought maybe it was a driver issue so I tired it both with and without the sdhc drivers turned on in the helmi wm6 kitchen to no avail.

I've been searching for an answers but have yet to find one. Any thoughts?

I tried formatting it too, no dice. My kids Sansa can see it as well, just not my phone. I'm thinking might also the micro to mini adapter, need to find something else that takes mini SD to try it.

I borrowed a multi-card reader from a friend and was able to determine that the micro-to-mini adapter was faulty, the micro-to-sd adapter worked fine. I called Kingston and they are sending a replacement. I was super impressed with them, very easy process to do a warranty replacement over the phone.
