is it safe Change Radio Nbf?

Guys, i'm sorry if this has been asked before,
Is it safe to change radio.nbf (i'm on verizon radiover 1.10) to sprint(1.27)?

cause I see someone upload a radio nbf sprint in FTP, and I'm curious but have no guts to try it.
could anybody share ??

I concur with Colonel on this!!!! Trust me, you do NOT want to have radio stack problems. It's the worst thing possible!! A 6700 without a working phone is horrible!

A 6700 w/o a working radio? Dont they call those calculators?

On the opther hand, I do see why Dennygun would want to upgrade, I would like to know the same. Us VZW people have an ancient version of the radio, and if the Sprint ver would work, we would upgrade. But, I dont think it will work; and I;m not going to flash just to find out Maybe someone can try after they get their xv6800 (HA!)

Don't get hung up on version numbers... the Sprint and Verizon (and Telus and Alltel, etc.) have independent versioning. So your Verizon 1.10 radio might in fact be newer than the Sprint 1.27.

And to reiterate, don't flash other carriers' radio ROMs. Unlike GSM which is standardized to the extreme, each CDMA carrier sets some things up a bit differently, and the radio ROM is used to account for those differences.

Oh man, I went ahead and flashed. Now, my phone boots faster, runs smoother, and it running wm6. j/k. I agree, DO NOT FLASH THIS ON YOUR PHONE OR YOU COULD END UP WITH A PDA INSTEAD OF A PHONE.

This was my upgrade process for the xv6700, download and update with the aku 3.3:

http://www.utstar.com/pcd/phone_down...zon%20Wireless

This updates the radio to Verizon's 1.43 radio verified by them.

Then run any cooked kitchen for the os upgrade to wm6, this gives you a really fast and stable xv6700.
