Anybody see "My Location" working in Google Maps app?

The help doc says if you go to "about" and the line that begins with "myl" says "N/A", then you're SOL.

Mine says "N/A". Anybody see anything different?

Oh, also, when I try to turn on the "my position" display, it tells me it's "temporarily" unavailable. Like maybe there will be a short delay while they ready the next version or someone figures out why the 6700's load doesn't support celltower triangulation or something.

Dave

[edit: oops, also, this is only in v2.0.something Google Maps that just came out this week.]

Same here..."N/A". I'm on Helmi's wm6...don't know if that's making any difference..

Same thing here with WM5 on Sprint PPC6700

"Your current location is temporarily unavailable"

myl = N/A

:(

thats because your location is not yet on database, and if u read well My Location is still in beta.

Nothing here too. The blackberries work fine on verizon, just not the 6700 yet.

Seems like it's not a database issue.

If you click on use gps and then scroll the map away from the gps location... when you click on my location its centers the blue dot again. This as opposed to the old way which was track location and every time you tried to look at something else it would drag the map back to the center whether you wanted it to or not.

My Location doesn't seem to do that for me... Actually have to uncheck GPS, then recheck GPS to get it to center on my location... Also stops tracking me after a while... Might be because I am zoomed in too far?

:dontknow:

Also getting the "Your current location is temporarily unavailable" without GPS...
