Voice Reciever Problem

Long story short, if I am on the phone with someone for more than about 5 minutes, they suddenly won't be able to hear me talk. I can hear them loud and clear, and even if I scream into the mouthpiece they won't hear me. It's very bizarre and annoying. As soon as I call back it's all fine again but it can happen again 30 seconds later.

I haven't tried seeing what happens with an ear bud or bluetooth, but is this a common problem?

I tried searching all keywords I could think of but came up with nothing. I know earpiece volume is low but mine seems fine, its the exact opposite of that haha. Any helps appreciated.

Are you maybe bumping the mute button on-screen with your cheek?

Here's what I did...

Download http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJEschaton
Map the IE button on the 6700 to the "screen off" shortcut that package provides

Now, in a call, as I bring the phone to my ear, I press the IE button with my thumb.
Screen off, buttons all dead... joy!
Just press power button to bring it back (to hang up, for example)

I hold my phone in my left hand, so the IE button is pretty much right there under my thumb - and I don't use it for IE anyway

Um yeah.....

You probably just need to hard reset.

I did a soft reset after installing new rom and experienced the same issue.
I hard reset the unit and problem is gone. Not sure what was messed up.

i have the original rom installed i think. 2.06 or something like that. ill see if its my dumb face hitting mute, if not then ill just have to hard reset. im going to try an earpiece and bluetooth too to see if it does it on that. it really pisses people off who are on the phone with me.
