how do i get rid of the no internet notice.

my friend doesnt have internet on his vx6700 and for now isnt interested in putting internet on it since he is always close to wi-fi. Now his only complaint is every minute there is a pop up say cannot connect to the internet. how do you get it to stop? i put on hemi's/rob mayer clean version 6 on it. is there a registry edit?
