There are 6700 joysticks on ebay here (if you are good and can do it yourself)

Looks like it's just the cap for the switch. If the switch itself is bad, you still will have a bad joystick. Happened to my 6700 and I had to replace the whole PC board.

:( damn I'm totally left out I thought I could fix mine.... oh well. How much for one then? :(

KC2PLL 02-08-2008 06:43 AM

Hey. I could really use a front faceplate, a button set, and a new keyboard. Just let me know how much for them. I have been looking desperately to refurbish my XV6700. Thanks

I don't want any parts! hehehehehe But can ya tell us specifically what tools you need to work on an Apache?

I'm just now getting into doing the same thing.....with RAZR's

Verizonguy,

I kinked this flex cable replacing a digitizer when I put the 6700 back together. The display is white but will show full color when moving the cable near the piece that connects it to the motherboard. I can't find any for sale anywhere could you possibly sell me one if you have any left over from your parts phones? I need the ribbon that attaches to the dpad and to the motherboard and connects to the lcd ribbon.

JRANGER 02-12-2008 10:04 AM

BMac1203@mac.com 02-12-2008 05:35 PM

Any chance you have any of the joystick boards left? Looking to replace that little board with the joystick and buttons on it. Thanks.

badfrog 02-12-2008 06:23 PM

do you have any of the little volume sliders? mine popped off and it is really annoying trying to adjust the volume quickly in call without it.

Verizonguy......you post a lot of good info here, but you don't leave a way for any of us to contact you in regards to it. No PM, no email......only posting in a thread proper........as this is my only alternative, I'll post my question for you here.

Are the battery contacts replaceable as a sub-assembly? If so, would you have spares you'd sell me? What tools are needed to open this baby up? If you're not interested in repairing Apaches any longer, are you looking to unload your parts? It may be something I'm interested in. I've dabbled with doing the same thing with RAZRs........

VerizonGuy, I would like to get a joystick and board if you have one left. Just let me know 'bout the funds.

Re: Apache Graveyard

I will pay $ for a board. Having a radio problem as mentioned before from someone else. It can only be in my board as it only started happening after I dropped my 6700 after about 20 times. Have reflashed and upgraded radio. Still comes and goes. (radio=none, or just going in and out on its own accord)

Let me know I will pay$

Hi!, iv been looking everywhere for the rubber piece that goes ontop of the joystick, and the ruber plug that covers the anntenne on the back. Do you have those two items? i am willing to pay for them. and maybe the front housing thingy too.

Thanks!
