wow this sucks bigtime. my sd card just got wiped but shows memory still being used. I guess due to the programs installed on my phone I can see the folder 'found.0000' that contains the files with size content but I have no working programs to access them since I only install to memory card.

on pc you won't see the files. even on showing hidden files did everything I could but pc found no errors. is this worth taking to a pc show and try to get this recovered or is it possible I am asking? thanks

Ok there is hope. Due to my persistance of not reformating due to information on the card. I just typed in the 'Found.000' from my sd card in explorer on my pc and I found all the 1500 files with the extension .chk There are known as recovered file fragments. Every single one. So I edited the file extension of a file I knew was an mp3 due to file size and it was recovered. I must find a way, more efficient. but atleast this way I can back everything up and edit extensions as last option :) btw program is call extension changer. Hope this helps

ok Just stumbled upon another trick. With the CHK files I took a 223kb file and dropped it into word 2003 and it popped right into a picture so I suspect any file word handles, it will show up there just to take out some guess work of smaller files. Man just glad I found a way around NOT having my information. Hope this help is not too late for some.

that will help you, found it last night. Use Filechk and run from same directory, Found.000 BTW you need to do a chkdsk /r ('VOLUMELABELHERE'): Example chkdsk /r L:

I remember reading somewhere that if you have outlook set to save attachments to your SD, then this is a known side effect that can occur. Did you guys happen to have your attachments set to save on the SD?
