getting rid of the comm manager on today screen?

hello everyone, i've just switched from a tmobile mda to the sprint 6700 (couldn't deal with slow edge speeds compared to evdo). On my mda i was able to get rid of the battery and comm manager icons on the bottom of the today screen by deleting the /windows/startup/init_tray.exe file. However, i am not able to locate this file on the 6700? any suggestions without dl'ing a third-party prog that rearranges the today screen like wisbar2. I try to keep the screen clean and simple... thanks....

and you will need the registry hack for this correct?

for the people who dont know where to get it, look at the sticky on top of this page that talks about the MMS hack for our phones, the registry hack download is on there, as well as the instructions on how to download it and where to put it and open it..
