I found that putting just my full 10 digit phone number (instead of the number plus @mycricket.com or anything else ) and the password cricket worked for me.

Re: Need Help Flashing My Ppc6700 To Cricket
I figured out the issue by accident.
All my numbers were stored as +1 972 XXX XXXX, + 1 214 YYY YYYY , +91 XXXXX, + 44 XXXXXX. When dialing the +1 numbers it dials out fine. But when SMSing anything with a + Prefix goes Kaput on Cricket network via this PPC 6700. I can send SMS easily to the same US number without the +1 prefix and to international numbers by replacing the + with 011 and then the remaining number. The "+" prefix is universal so works best irrespective of where you might be calling or SMSing from irrespective of International Dial Out Code. Its 011 in US, 00 in India.. and so on. Is there a better way to ensure (besides changing every + number) into a non plus that these things get autotranslated? Any software / plugins? |
