Just finished an 8 hr shift, 28 1/2 min cell time, and about 1 hr with software and still have 60 percent battery left.
So the 3 registry changes I made (did not have a REG VALUE for L2TP1 Parms) helped on my end.

That's seriously bad. I think your battery may be on its last legs. No way you burned 680MAh in 10 minutes. No way at all, unless your phone was glowing bright red, the radio burned a hole through your head while you used it, and you were talking to someone on Jupiter.

Or, your battery is dying.

I'm not sure...he says that the phone was off the charger overnight...and doesn't say what the battery level was before the calls.

However, you're most likely correct.

I did the reg edits yesterday and have significantly better battery life. I think luv2chill said these edits will be built into next release.

Oops I misread that - off the charger overnight, I read as "off the charger, after charging overnight."

The WM6 drain seems to be universal.

I noticed it draining my 6700's battery much faster and it drains my 6800's battery much faster than WM5 as well.

Well, it's not universal... I'm seeing the same battery performance between WM5 & 6, with basically the same setup of apps/today items running on both.

What might be true is that the HTC Home, or some other thing being used in WM6, or some default registry settings (see above) in Wm6 vs Wm5, are causing the drain. But I don't thing the OS itself uses more (or less) battery.
