Don't Want To Do A Hard Reset
 

Guys for the past month about 3 times my phone like some froze on the WM load screen. 3 times rebooted fine, this last time up to yesterday it wouldn't sync to my vista at home or my xp at work, I know it's not the usb b/c it was 2 different usb cables. I was about to take it back to WM5 but I couldn't even get to the USB so I hard reset again and even loaded the extras and now it can sync at work, still can't at home but anyway, now that I loaded the full thing, my text msg is doing the same thing like some of you guys post about the reply not showing the tele # but the 1st text.

Has anyone figured out away to fix that w/o having to do a hard reset and not loading the extra's. I've been on this site and another most of the day yesterday w/ my eyes getting crossed, so unless there is and I missed that thread can someone point me to it please.

PS: w/ my registry hacks does the backup save thoses also? I would hate to have to do them all over again...

Maybe it's your registry hacks that is causing some of these problems. The registry holds a lot of key's, to a lot of doors...

the only hack I have is the volume hack and the hack to not get the text has been sent. I can try keeping them off for awhile but I haven't came across any threads w/ anyone complaining about that, also the hacks wasn't loaded when the phone wouldn't connect to my vista or xp sync until I did a HR and had it load everything.

When you got done flashing the rom, did you let the carrier customizations run..?

If so, hard reset, and when you see the message, "Installing Customizations in 3 seconds", it should start counting down. As soon as you see that, do a soft reset. Do not let the customizations run if you flash a custom rom. Those are already included in the rom, and you'd be installing them again. Try that, and let me know...

I dont know too mcuh on this one but I do remember a big thread where lots of ppl were geting these lockup with WM6. Last I read there was a lot of speculation on what was causing it but Im sorry to say I do not remember what the outcome was (if any). So just know that you are not alone. maybe you can find the thread and see where everyone stand with this issue. Good luck
