Possible "DSOD" fix? Test it and let us know!

Ok this came from the test rom that the evdo ring through fix came from. It may or may not fix the "DSODs". So yall that are having issues with that, give this a install and see if it doesnt fix it. Post results here! Mala had quoted someone that this maybe a fix because it does replace the SDMemory.dll. Anyway I extracted and hope this helps out you all that are having DSOD problems.

dark screen of death....some people including myself have had it not wake up when hitting the power button and it takes popping the minisd out to turn the screen back on. well my problem was phonealarm installed to the card instead of the main memory so I no longer have the problem since I don't use it any longer.

Is DSOD the same as backlight turning off???

I had the weirdest thing today. My phone looked like it was off. I turn it on and it looked like nothing happened. I could barely see the screen so I ran outside to bright sunlight and saw that backlighting was completely off. I went into settings and sure enough the backlight was set to 0 when on battery. I ASSumed this was some random screen press when the phone was in my pocket so I slid the slider an the backlight came back. Shut the phone of put it into my pocket and wham next time same thing. he only way around was turn backlighting on permanently which wiped my battery out quickly.

Sorry for the long post but is this the same as DSOD? The reason I ask is I do not have a mem card in or any programs referring to a mem card storage location. The last program I installed was the EVDO ring through fix (W/O the hard reset).

Thanks

sounds similar but was the backlight off? or was the device off? if the backlight was off thats from holding the power button instead of tapping it. Try installing and check it out....see if it works and post results. This will not hurt ur phone as it came from a Test ROM of sprints...so it wont hurt to try and see if this corrects ur problem.
