Update***
Ok, this is what I did. First I had to copy the current ruu files and then paste it in Pheonix'x 1.41 radio update. Once I pasted I then replaced it. Then I upgraded. So far it was successful. I then did a soft reset and checked my device info. It took and the radio now reads 1.43! Hooray! Hopefully this will help someone else

will this work on the new 6800 sprint? thanks

Since it's for the 6700, it would probably not work, and/or brick your phone.

Ok. I'd tried it with the Phoenix UG util which is basically the same, minus the Exit Bootloader utility but just for kicks, Ill try that too. Funny, I'd read the post and assumed that I'd basically done the same thing since the upgrade utility is a no_id....

Just thought I'd throw this out there I put all the new radio files with the old 1.41 files so it'll make upgrading the radio easier. They're located here if anyone wants them.

Ok, I tried every possible suggestion and I still get country ID errors...I wonder if it's the bootloader?

I used the Helmi_APAC_Official_AKU3.5_Kitchen_1.0.4 and extracted the folder \Upgrade\NoID_RUU and placed the Radio_.nbf file into the folder. Put my PPC6700 in bootloader mode and I ran the radio update by running the APACUpgradeUt_noID.exe command. after the update completed i did not do the hard reset. I just did a soft reset and the radio has been working fine. I have not tested the radio anywhere but here at work but i do have a 1-2 extra bars on the signal meter.

I tried flashing this way and it worked! Thanks for the hint... I did not preform a hard rest I and everything seems to be working fine although I'm not noticing any signal improvement in my reception I'm still on the border of x1 and EVDO in my house if i'm lucky I get 1 bar of EVDO mostly I go into roam 1x Ive been running the new radio for about 4hr and I don't see much change
