Radio 1.43 update with a Sprint PPC6700

I aslo used the way Everburg suggusted for my Sprint PPC6700. I used the Helmi_APAC_Official_AKU3.5_Kitchen_1.0.4 and extracted the folder \Upgrade\NoID_RUU and placed the Radio_.nbf file into the folder. Put my PPC6700 in bootloader mode and I ran the radio update by running the APACUpgradeUt_noID.exe command. after the update completed i did not do the hard reset. I just did a soft reset and the radio has been working fine. I have not tested the radio anywhere but here at work but i do have a 1-2 extra bars on the signal meter.

1.43 thumbs up!

Ran Internet Sharing on it all day as well as a couple of calls on my XV6700 with VerizonGuy's WM6 Alpha4.

Used the Phoenx06_Radio_1.41 tool that came out after the BM AKU 3.3 and just extracted the radio.nbf in place of the old one. I did hard boot and had to set everything up again, but I always do when flashing.

Noticed an extra bar (3 instead of 2) without the external antenna that I run at my desk. Been getting 4 solid bars since 1.41 w/antenna, so all I can say is that my download speed seemed to stay higher (between 1-2mb/s) all day, whereas before it would drop under 1 more often when traffic increased on the network later in the day.

mine sez it won't work on this phone
something about wrong country or something.
i use sprint, btw

UPDATE

okay, I forced the bootloader mode, and this time it took.
sometimes the flash util will put the phone in bootloader, sometimes it won't.

But I had to plug the file into the Phoenix 1.41 updater to make it work.

working so far

adrian2pm 10-21-2007 11:52 AM

will this work on the new 6800 sprint? thanks

I have sprint and I first tried this in vista. I got the country code error and the upgrade noRUU didn't work either. On XP , however, it installed just fine.

I notice another bar of signal, but what really amazes me is with 3 bars i'm getting 1220 / 65 now and before I was getting 750/70 in the same location. I just tested (2:30PM) and before it was 1AM. It could be congestion, but 1.2mbit with 3 bars is pretty good.

Can someone please walk me through what I have to do exactly to get this to work. First of all, I'm with alltel. I opened the radio file and tried to download. Whenever I click next, I keep getting the prompt: error code 120: wrong country code. I'm starting to get alittle fed up with this because I've done this before with no problems and why now will this not take. I also keep reading about others who have done other things to get this to work. So please, someone tell mew what I must do to get this to work on my alltel 6700, thanks
