change Page pool? on verizon xv6700 with wm6?

I've been reading on this "page pool" tweak that could be done to speed up things in this thread (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=7842)

does this work for the verizon xv6700?
i'm using Helmi's Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)
and more specifically the verizon one without bootloader 1.02(dunno if that'll affect)

I tried to install rapi and then applying the page pool bats but nothing seems to have happened. I also tried installing rapi before each attempt with and without a soft reset.
I read at the other website that was mentioned in the thread that the rom version was 4.0 and i have 3.50.00 wwe if that makes any difference. Maybe it's also because i have the verizon specified rom? not sure..

I read that the location for this byte change could be different, especially on all custom roms. Would i have to install the generic wm6 in order for this to work?
