let me just say I was using a samsung i730 before I went through 3 replacements and was given an xv6700 for free from verizon and as soon as it came yesterday I installed the WM6 here. The hardest part about the install was getting the thing into boot mode. But once I got into boot mode, everything was flawless. The install was fast! the programming was fast. Everything worked so fast in wm6. I think I soft reset twice and that was because of palm threaded application and the registry tweaks for battery life I performed. You have made me a very happy new xv6700 owner. Big ups to you

I was having a problem connecting to active sync (I use the wireless sync for PIM and emails, but needed the USB connection for file transfers - obviously). I fixed the problem by unchecking the "Enable Advanced Network Functionality" in the 6700 system settings/connections/USB to PC. Hope that helps other. Any insight on what this option is doing would be nice to know.

Hey i was on Dev 2 installed perfectly. but i tried to install dev 4 and it loads fine then gets stuck at the "Serial" screen tried reset, hard rest, tried reinstalling. nothign ... did i brick my phone?? any ideas what happened? ](*,)

Try this thread first. It sounds like you are stuck in Bootloader mode.

That's just it, I did the Devel4 upgrade and I haven't installed any applications on the phone at all. I have noticed that it does get just a tad better (response wise by about the 3rd day) but not much.

I'm still having USB issues. it connects, but I can't transfer files over reliably. After a limited amount of data before the USB connection seems to hang. I end up having to reset the 6700 - it thinks it's still connected and can't disconnect (hangs). I wasn't having this issue before and I haven't been able to find any other fixes searching the forums. Thx for any help!

Given no changes to what you install/uninstall, why would a phone change it's performance after a few days. It's not like a mechanical device that 'warms up'. As a network tech, this concept baffles me.

I'm on Dev 4 after, running 1 & 2. I am no longer getting email notifications from my DEFAULT Outlook/Wireess Sync account. My two (2) pop3 accounts get notifications, as set in the properties. But, the default account attached to Wireless Sync does not. I've done several hard resets & reloaded the release, still no notifications.

Any ideas what's going on? Anyone else experiencing this issue?
