Windows Mobile 6.5.1 Build 23412

I've seen references to recent releases of 6.5.1 with build numbers up to 23412.
I've also seen mention of 23034 build of WM6.5?
The newest build in the Apache kitchen thread is WM6.5 Build 21501. I've been running that for weeks and I'm reasonably happy with it. To be sure, improvements would be nice and perhaps these later releases offer what I'm looking for - better memory utilization and fewer lock-ups.
For a Noob, how difficult would it be to proceed beyond 21501 - is there any distinct advantage or should I just be content with what I have until someone more skillful than I creates a kitchen?
