I have the same headset S9, After installing AKU 3.3 from Verizon wireless to my xv-6700 I had the same problem with the skipping. But I was able to work around it. You first turn on the Bluetooth then turn on the S9, if it skips then turn off and on the Head set S9 and it will get normal... Now the problem is I cannot install Hemis WM6 because I allready Install AKU 3.3 for some reason.. If you can help me I will be glad to accept..
Thanks |

ahernandez4110, so is your S9 100% skip free and easy to connect now? I've been looking at it as a 2nd headset for when my Lubix battery runs out. How is the quality of the music with WM6?

I having serious skipping issues in windows media player with my Sosche BlueTooth device, but the audio is perfect using HTC Audio Manager. Only problem is I cant use voice command to control HTC Audio Manager. I have tried all the settings in this thread and thus far none of them work for windows media player. I got around this issue in WM5 by using Conduits Pocket Player which takes over WMP's voice commands, but it doesnt seem to work with WM6.

Ha I can't believe that worked.
I figured that the whole turn off bluetooth/turn on bluetooth was crap. Ha I was so wrong. I have a first generation 6700 with a 1.0 bootloader and a Motorola 805 headset. Here's what I got to work.
Removed both bitpool settings. SampleRate @ 48000, Joint Stereo 1. No a2dpfix. WM6 20071117 1)headset off, bluetooth device off. 2)headset on, bluetooth on 3)played music and results in skipping(every 2 seconds or so) 4)turned headset off, bluetooth off 5)turned bluetooth on 6)turned headset on, set device to stereo headset. 7)played music. definately listenable now. No skips in 10 minutes of streaming music from club977.com |
Motorola S9 works fine
Have the latest kitchen installed (071117_1) with no registry values changed from install. What I've found that works is that after the BT pairing is completed, reboot your device. After it's complete, phone conversations are fine and even better, no skipping of recorded audio (which is on a 2Gb card) - I even get decent playback from radio4pda ..I did however notice an issue with the two builds prior (071107_2 and 071108_1) that this didn't seem to work; haven't a clue what was changed if anything.

i have read and tried everything here to the last word... cant get the audio in properly... i use the plantronics voyager 855 (great headphones though) on my newly flashed 6700... first i tried with bitpool and max bitpool with joint stereo as one and samplerate as 41000... didnt work... then tried deleting the two entries and made joint stereo 2 and samplerate 48000... nothing... however while building the OS the first time, i had only selected A@DP under BT and left out the other option following which i got great audio but there was no support for my headphones to receive or make calls... so selected bot a2dp and other support in the build os and now audio skips... i have gotta get this working....

I agree, there's more to this
Well, I got my 6700 (Helmi WM6 11-17 build) to stream BT stereo. But something's not making sense here.
I looked at all of the posts here which concern WM6. My first BT headset paired was a H 605, mono, great for phone calls. I originally thought the reg settings discussed here might have been derived from that first pairing. Well when I got my stereo HT820, pairing was quick, but the audio I got was 1 or 2 sec, then silence. I installed Jamie Blackadars A2DP tweaker only for ease of making the reg edits, I understand that's all this program does. But before I got to tweaking the registry, I figured I would give bzxzlg's suggestion (2 posts above) a try. I paired my HT820, then soft reset the device. Stereo is excellent. The only skipping was when I stepped outside to test the range and lost the connection. I moved closer and re-connected OK. I have not listened for a long time, so I can't say the skipping others mention is 100% gone, but I think if not its a small tweak away. I am going to delete the BitPool and MaxSupportedBitPool entries and see if the sound gets any better. HERES THE RUB: After the soft reset, I looked at the reg settings: BitPool and MaxSupportedBitPool are still at 30 (default), sample rate is blank, UseJointStereo is 1. These are unchanged from before the soft reset, so what exactly is happening? EDIT: I deleted the BitPool entry and just for kicks set MaxSupportedBitPool to 128. Amazing difference. Much more range, if thats the word. (I'm not an audiophile). Sound went from what was like a 96k bitrate MP3 to near CD quality (320k). Playing variable bitrate MP3's (160-320 )from the storage card. No skips yet! Maybe I will delete the HT-820 device and start over, this time saving a copy of the registry pre-and post pairing and soft reset, and doing a compare. A lot of work though if someone has an easy answer?????? Thanks for listening! |
Jabra 8010
Has anyone successfully been able to use Jabra 8010 as a stereo headphone? There is so much skipping that it is unusable. I've tried almost every combination of BitPool, SampleRate, MaxSupportedBitPool, useJointStereo, but none works. I still get so many skips. More skips than actual music.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
