After MUCH testing and poking around, i found out the problem was with the new SMS_providers.dll. This new version is fixed, locked, clocked, and ready rock!

Ver 1.0
Everything should work like it did on WM5
Ver 1.1
Forgot to add Shortcut to old mail program, fixed now

Download here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P4JPPPVQ
http://rapidshare.com/files/54734533...rv1.1.cab.html

Directions:
copy cab file to your device via activesync, double click on cab, and install to MAIN MEMORY. It should prompt you to restart at the end of the install.

Enjoy!

Note: As before, the MMS portion of this program DOES NOT WORK. I did however set up the Email Center number as "6245" which is the correct one for sprint (and i believe verizon as well). That key allows you to send SMS to email addresses. If you need to change it for another provider, you can do so under setting.

Plug for a good developer: I definitely recommend the use of VJSlippyPalm with the Palm Threader program. It allows you to assign a key to a program that will switch back and forth between the Regular Mail program and the SMS threader.
Get it here:

Thanks for the threader!! I am really happy to see this working on WM6. However, i have a question, what is the difference between this app and the codyppc version? Is this the same version or are the two versions of the threader derived from two different versions of the threader?

I am asking because the codyppc version seemed to have some bugs that i don't see anyone reporting in this thread.

Thanks for the help.

i can't tell you the differences as I never used cody myself.. but.. if you say whats not working I can tell you if palm threaded sms is effected by that.

If you have MMS working already, will your MMS still work after?

you are using the arcsoft program included with Helmi_c's WM6 rom for mms? yes, it will work just fine after this install.

I'm having some trouble with MMS, and I'm not finding any help after some quick searches. I'm running the WM6 with this threader installed, and texts are great. I don't routinely use MMS, so I didn't really 'test' it.

Someone sent me a picture the other day, and it went to my Threaded App, and wouldn't download. If I go into the Arcsoft MMS and try to download I get an error, it won't let me check for new messages. The only troubleshooting step I've taken is to add my phone number to the X-VzN-MDN key for arcsoft, but that didn't help.

I'm on Verizon....

Any help would be awesome!

I use Jeyo Mobile Extender. It synchs your SMS messages to Outlook. It is a good way to backup messages and has other features like being able to send and receive messages from your desktop.

It does not work with the threaded SMS app. Does anyone know of a workaround this? It seems the software is looking for the old SMS folder location and it isn't there anymore.

Thanks,

TomD

Not very promising so far - it's stuck at the Windows Mobile screen, and has been for about 5 minutes... I'll do a hard reset and try it again - but I'm bummed I didn't get to save my text history :(
