Can you press two buttons at once with this ROM - or will the 6700 keyboard fix from emulamer work?

Also - I'm a little surprised that someone's reported only about 27 megs of available RAM after loading this ROM. Saridnour's latest 3.5 gives me 31.5 megs on a fresh boot. This might give me pause to update.

1. It's unlikely this will change anything to do with simultaneous button presses (though I can't say for 100% certainty) because it's using the same button driver (which is device-specific) as previous ROMs. It's like installing Windows Vista but using the XP driver for your scanner. Works fine but should have the same functionality as before.

2. Keep in mind that this ROM has the HTC Home plugin installed, which uses up some resources (as well as some of the other apps--check helmi's first post for a list). Also, why wouldn't you expect WM6 to use up more memory than WM5? Vista uses more memory than XP which uses more memory than 2000, etc. That's the price of progress...

Sweet ROM!!!!! There were those who said WM6 would NEVER happen for the Apache.......TAKE THAT SPRINT!

A-ha

Something dawned on me in regards to doing this update on Vista: UAC. I put the phone in bootloader mode, then right-clicked on the updater's .exe and selected "Run As Administrator". The ROMs are updating now. I'll post back again once it's finished.

If I put the device in bootloader mode then connect I get a 101 NOT CONNECTED error. If I just have the 6700 running normally, plug it in, then run the updater, it detects my phone just fine and is ready to upgrade.

Am I creating a problem by NOT having the phone in bootloader mode? Just want to verify before I pull the trigger.

I took the plunge! Just one issue...

First off, I would like to say THANK YOU for all the hard work and making this available to everyone.

I was a little scared to give it a try, but I did indeed take the plunge.

I must say, quite impressive as it seems to work VERY WELL. A donation will certainly be forthcoming!

The only major issue that I have encountered, is that it does not seem to recognize my miniSD 1GB SanDisk storage card any longer. The operating system simply never references it anywhere. It does reference a Storage Card, but that appears to to be the install ROM stuff. Is there something special I need to do to enable support for the miniSD card?

Windows Mobile 6 is a hell of a lot nicer than the previous version, makes using this Sprint PPC-6700 a lot more attractive, I was about to junk it and upgrade to something else. I think I will hold off.

When i hit the button circled below:
http://simplepic.net/albums/userpics/APAC_WM6_Today.png

It takes me to screen that says "txt, mms, or create new email account" even though i've already set up wireless sync on my phone, and there's email sitting in the box. When i click "create new emaila ccount" it makes me go through some bs, that takes forever, and i just want my email. Anyone else have this problem? How can i fix it?

This is just incredible! WM6 on my Apache, and some said that would never happen : ) Thanks Helmi!

I´ve found just one thing not working:

##000000 send

That used to take me to the "activation wizard", but not any more... :S

seems like a new feature in WM6..

it should ask you Text messages, Outlook E-mail, MMS or new email account...

not sure why you dont see the Outlook Email option.. did you setup Activesync for push email with an exchange server?
