Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

External ROM issues:

The external ROM works pretty well for me on the Titan on this build, but I am having some real issues on the Apache.

I have deleted everything in the External ROM in an attempt to re-install some programs, but the OS still thinks that there is 9.64 Mb of data/programs in there. It won't let me install or store anything there now.

How can I force it to overwrite or clear whatever it thinks is in there?

I would flash a stock ROM if I could find one that would flash (I have bootloader 1.04), and if I knew which one will not upgrade the Bootloader to 2.05. I prefer a larger ROM.

Soft reset, hard reset have failed to clear it. Official stock flash attempts have not flashed with a failure to read error.

It appears to be empty, but thinks it is full.

Ugh! Now it lets me see what it thinks is in there. It is filled with garbage directories, but won't let me delete them. It says 8 of them are over 1 GB each! (EDIT: Not possible, I know, but see the screen shot in my next post.)

you need to both unlock and unhide it.

They're not supposed to.

hmmm. 8x1GB sounds like a lot more then 9.64MB of ext_rom. Are you using stock flash drivers?

Hey guys, having trouble flashing to WM6.1. Months ago I updated to WM6 on Vista. I know there are issues with the RUU working properly. Somehow I got it to work before but having the same problem now. Can anyone help?

I have a Settings folder Unlock ExtROM that says "Sucess!" But nothing about unhiding.

These files are corrupted big time.
Trying to flash with stock ROMs, to overwrite the ExtROM, but no joy. They show the update screen with current ROM and update ROM, but then can't finish the job. Usually a Connection issue.

***EDIT:Both
APAC_VZW_20720_200_11000_Ship.exe and
APA_VZW_20720_206_11000_WWE_Ship.exe
after putting the phone in bootloader, and giving an update screen, sit a while, then give me an Error 201:Get
Device Data Error

I also have APA_Verizon_31430_314208_14300_WWE_Ship_2.exe. I think this one applies Bootloader 2.04 or 2.05,
which I want to avoid, because I don't want to have to revert the bootloader, and I want a larger ROM.

See image.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

Hey all,

Thanks a ton. I have a question, does anyone notice a weird screen flip to portrait while in landscape mode using Manilla 2D? I've not played with it yet, but this build is the first I've experienced this on my 6800. Just randomly flips to portrait mode when in landscape.

Just wanted to shoot that out there before I researched it.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen

just flashed the 20931 rom again and it still shuts off ppc if you are listening to audiobook after 4 minutes you you dont hit a button or screen. Does this happen to all apps? i cant use my ppc like this cause i listen to audiobooks alot. Any help would be appreciated. I did not change any settings just build and go.

after this i again flased a new rom this time the 20924 rom and same thing happens. Could this be due to the new create a project??

It shuts everything off.. WMP, TCPMP, etc.. that's one of the reasons I went back to 20755. I could not listen to music for more than 4 minutes.
