You are running Vista. Run BuildOS in Administrator mode.

I acctually missed that. I think he actually needs to ry running X.04+ I've never worked with bootloader over 1.04 so I'm not too sure, I think NoID works only with v1.02 and below. Try X.04+

Re: Getting Error when trying to flash to WM6.1

I was having the same issue, and the simplest solution worked. I was getting connection error 101 every time I tried to flash WM6.1. I was stuck in the bootloader screen - USB/SERIAL v2.02. I am running windows Vista Home Premium. Phone is PPC-6700 with Sprint. Did a lot of reading through the forum, trying various methods to fix my problem, including running BuildOS with RUU set at No ID and Rev set at each and every version... updating the USB driver (which I couldn't - stuck at Microsoft USB Sync)... and so forth. Even tried to find the original ROM at UTstar.com, but gave up on that... No help.

Finally I tried the easiest solution, which for some reason up to that point I had thought, "it can't be that simple" - I closed BuildOS, then restarted it with Run As Administrator. Worked the very first time, with the rev at 2.02 and RUU at Standard. So simple, I feel like an idiot for wasting the last 2 hours!

Anyway, thanks to all! Just wanted to post my solution.
