Error 120 w/ppc-6700

Ok, my 6700 was stolen, and I was lucky enough to recover it,but it was semi bricked. I moved on to the 6800, but would like to tinker a bit with the old 6700. Problem is, I am getting an error 120, country id error when attempting to flash a rom/kitchen. I just tried the official Sprint rom, same result.
Any ideas?
