Re: Verizon 6700 on Metro pcs??
im working on the same thing right now.. the only thing i have found is that for metro u need one of their esn# to use the 6700 on metro.. its in a fine line of legal and illegal because u have to change the esn of the 6700 to the esn of the original metro pcs phone.. once the esn change is done only 1 phone should be used. both are to be powered down then turn on the 6700 and you should be good.
check out this site.http://www.mobile-files.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=34392 i still haven't completed it yet but its in process. its not illegal to my knowledge as long as the origional esn is yours and not someones you are trying to clone.. |

Re: Verizon 6700 on Metro pcs??
simply cloneing the ESN is not going to work if your switching providers like that, there are a lot of other things that have to be changed.
the BuildOS proggy doesnt have a selection for MetroPCS either, so unless you come across a smartphone or PDA from MetroPCS that you can QPTS into I dont think you'll have much luck. |

Re: Verizon 6700 on Metro pcs??
ok guys..check this out:
http://www.phonenews.com/metro-pcs-i...-service-3657/ I just called the MetroPCS 1800 number. Acutally I called it like 10 times to get someone who spoke good enough english to understand. Anyway the guy I talked too said the ppc6700 was not "in their system" so they couldn't do it. So I thought I'd call a store. Since I happen to be in Las Vegas right now, thought I'd call a las vegas store. Guess what - all the stores have the same freakn phone number! and .. no one EVER ANSEWERS the phone. If anyone else would like to give it a shot - let me know what ya find out. If just one of us can get a 6700 100% working on MetroPCS, then we can have the ppckitchen.org guys add it to the carrier list. |

Re: Verizon 6700 on Metro pcs??
I hope you guys have found this out by now, but MetroPCS now offers something called Metro Flash. Basically, take any CDMA phones (from Verizon or Sprint), and they'll flash the phone to work with their network!
If you need a contact number in Vegas or Los Angeles, let me know. My parents own stores in both locations. |
