Not sure exactly what you did; I don't have any locking up problems, even when I am running beta software. So, I think it must be due to your ROM.

Re: Any cure for the messaging input lag yet?

The cody messenger works fine for SMS and receiving MMS. It won't let you get into your normal messaging app though, so no email or sending MMS.

I use PocketCM for my contacts and it does threaded messages. The only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't do auto caps at the begining of every sentence like the windows messenger does.

Re: Any cure for the messaging input lag yet?

thanks. i gave up on 6.1. after a month of dealing with its random lockups and slowdowns (and ****ty sms) i went back to 6.0 with the palm sms. much happier now.

Re: Any cure for the messaging input lag yet?

I upgraded to 6.1 because 6.0 gave me too many issues. I wish there was a way to get the 6.1 threaded sms into WM5. I really like that feature in 6.1. In fact, that is the only reason I am still using it. I don't understand why 6.1 is so buggy, I got a 6.1 for my Dell Axim X51v and it works flawlessly....

Re: Any cure for the messaging input lag yet?

i think a solution would be to increase the messaging app's CPU priority only while inputting text. it'll for sure make your MP3 players skip, but i'd rather sacrifice that over wasting time with typos and stuff.
