I'm guessing that you have a 2.X bootloader and have your ROM just over the max size. Try removing a couple programs and run the kitchen again.

BuildOS used to warn you if the ROM was too big, was this warning removed?

I just tried reflashing with a much smaller selection list, and same problem. Sprint logo brick.

My selections are attached.

How do you know what bootloader version you have? When i put it into bootloader mode (power + record + reset) it says: USB v. 1.00

I have a v1.02 bootloader XV6700.

Did as instructed earlier in this thread and used the .exe overwrite, went in to buildOS, selected nothing, built the ROM, installed it, and now I can't even get to the splash screen. No matter what I do, it puts me back to the bootloader screen. I'm afraid at this point I have a brick.

Update: I was able to find LennySH online and he was very helpful! He has posted a new version of the .exe file listed on the last page of this thread at:

http://www.htcgeeks.com/Files/Apache/

Download the one dated June 04, 2008, run it, and then run BuildOS and build your ROM and install again, and it should work, at least mine did on a v1.02 bootloader xv6700.

Re: Apache WM6.1 19213 Kitchen

yeah lenny gave us a new version of this that works.

its on www.htcgeeks.com/files/apache

MAke sure you go for the one that says JUNE 4th!! not the older one that gave us all trouble.
Then just run the exe file and it should put the new version of the lenny rom and lenny txt selections in your buildOS.

Works great thanks Lenny. And everyone who is stuck in boot splash screen. (the screen before the phone starts) THis is what you need to do to fix your problem!

Thanks. I had it fixed, then we shrunk the file for updater so it'd be way smaller, and somehow in the process of that, messed it up. So I've uploaded the bigger one, and I'll update later with a new shrinked copy once I get a chance to test fully...
