Question 6700 as a PDA only

I love my 6700 as a PDA but as a phone I constantly have issues with it. Not sure if it is my phone, VZW's service or what... but these issues combined with my current financial situation, I am switching to a Razr V3m to use as my phone. My question for the experts here is this:
Now that I am not going to be using VZW with my 6700, what can I leave out when I use the BuildOS to build a new ROM that would make my 6700 a lean, clean VZW free PDA?

TIA

You can leave out the carrier customizations and anything that customizises the dialer or tracks/blocks calls... Are you planning on using the Wi-Fi? If you are, especially if you want to use things like VOIP, you may not want to remove too much else...

Wi-Fi - yes. VOIP - probably not anytime soon. I could always build a new ROM and add it back later if I do. Anything else I can leave out or tips that might be useful to maximize usefullness without crippling it?

About the only thinq I can think of is just making sure you disable the Radio (for battery life.)

Re: 6700 as a PDA only

Should I just use 'Generic' as the Carrier to eliminate the VZW specific stuff?
