edufur,

What I meant was you would have to draw 1350 mA for a whole hour to completely deplete that battery. Since the battery was drained, either there is much more than 350 mA draw or the battery capacity is way less than 1350 mAh.

What was the Total mAh shown by acbPowerMeter at the end of your test? Based on 350 mA, it should have been only about 290 mAh.

I totally understand that the 350 mA average on my test doesn't match the 1350 mAh capacity, but I am getting the same result with two different batteries. Either the measurement is inaccurate, the batteries are both defective, or it is something unexplainable. I just know that under WM 5 a month ago, this was not a problem.

sscholar,

I would not be quick to assume that either battery is good. They fail without any real warning and even if "new" they might be old stock. I have had more than one battery go from great to toss in a week or two.

I also cannot discount the possibility of a rom issue, possibly related to a hardware version change; possibly something else.

You are one of the few who have given data to go along with the "battery life sux rocks" complaint - a little data may be just what we need for someone to figure it out.

So what was your total mAh (from acbPowerMeter) and test times on each battery? Do they differ? If you flash back to Verizon stock, what are your results?

One more question - How long does it take to charge the battery once it has went flat? Could it be that the battery life indication in incorrect? I seem to remember that being based on voltage.

The total mAh were 250 & 280. I haven't timed a recharge, but it does seem fairly quick for both batteries. The phone does die at the end, so it is unlikely that the battery indicator is wrong. I guess it is possible that both batteries have impaired capacity. I just ordered a new battery, so I will soon find out.

I upgraded to the latest voicecommand, and now I can't get it to place a call with my jawbone. It beeps, and I can hear the audio gateway open, but it never listens for a command. Am I doing something wrong? The older version worked flawlessly.

Having same issue here. Anyone have an idea? Maybe use the slightly older version of VC?

I am using radio version 1.41. It made my signal worse, but it seems to help most other people.

I am thinking of doing this as well. I wonder if Net CF3.5 may have anything to do with it. Does the latest 6.1 Kitchen default to Net CF2 if this is not selected? My guess is that Net CF2 might be good enough for the bulk of the applications in use and that CF3.5 might interfere with with some of the resource utilization. Could someone with more expertise comment on this?
Thanks

Same issue here. Trying to figure out which registry setting(s) affect it. Also noting that in the last few builds using the older version VC would map to Button 5 automatically but with this one I had to manually re-map it (default was to Notes app).

I'd really like it to map to the BT headset button again without reverting.

Hey guys,

I'm new here but I have been using/doing the OS upgrades for about 1yr. I love the stuff you guys have done with everything. I only have a couple of problems maybe somebody can help me out.
1. The battery drains extremely quickly (i know alot of ppl are having the same issue and i will be looking at other threads for solutions as well)
2. I am not able to send picture messages and video messages anymore, (now that i upgraded to 6.1) i have checked all the settings and even tried different settings for the sprint server that i was using before. THis sucks!! lol, I am able to recieve picture and video messages and view them w.o a problem tho. I just want to be able to reply with a pic or vid as well :)
I know my plan has it, I have the simply everything plan now. I have done reloads, I just cant get it to send out. I acts like it will send then i get a 'message not sent notification'

IDK im just really fustrated if anybody has any suggestions please let me know. Im will to try ideas, just give me clear instructions lol.

Other than that, who is actually looking into the new samsung instinct phone??

Thanks,
miguel
