Gervy,
I dunno about 2 or 3, but the largest-capacity battery you can fit in the original is a 1500 mAh Li-Poly that's floating around somewhere, usually identified as "slim" "extended capacity". |

2) not to my knowledge 3) depends. Name brands come with better warranties, and are likely a trace amount better quality. Sometimes off brands do not disclose everything, too. On the flip side, they charge a premium for being name brand. In your particular example, however, I'd buy the $7 battery in a heartbeat. |

I picked up two of the $5.95 OEM batteries from eBay for around $23 including shipping. My phone has been off charger for 25 hours now and I'm still at 70%! The new battery combined with setting it to stay on 1x (no EVDO here) and changing the ActiveSync to not snyc on every receipt (now syncs every hour) has given me much longer battery life than I have EVER had. :headbang:
