I get a smiliar issue with my car charger. It's even gone as far as me getting a message that I don't have a battery installed. So I have to yank the battery put it back in and it works. I'm not sure it's ROM specific as I had this issue with the OEM ROM on my PPC6700.

This ROM really is amazing! I'm finding that my battery has also gone soft on me, in fact both of them.
But they also take no time to charge right back to 100%. Thinking new batteries are needed before I go and slam the replacment phone or ROM. |

Jed,
What happens with a new battery? I don't know this for sure, but I've seen evidence that flashing the phone when your battery is not (at least close to) fully charged can damage it. Thought I'd mention it since I didn't see any mention of a new battery in your posts.

I though I would post my issues here in the hopes that someone else might be experiencing similar problems. I TOTALLY appreciate and respect the work put into bring WM6 to the apache, however, these are some of my observations after using the kitchen for 1-2 months:
1) Multitasking - Seems much more sluggish with WM6 than with WM5. I use my phone as an mp3 player and for GPS navigation so when I'm in the car, I always have TCPMP v72rc1 running with a map application (either googlemaps, ms livesearch, or iGuidance). WM5 had no problem switching back and forth smoothly between apps, however with WM6, I frequently experience unexpected app shutdowns (either TCPMP or GPS app or both, with no predictable pattern) OR a total system freeze requiring a soft reset. 2) Screen Alignment - I am one of those unlucky users that has to align my screen once every other day or so. With the latest kitchen, my phone freezes as soon as the alignment screen comes up. The crosshairs remain in the center of the screen no matter where I tap. A soft reset is the only way to bring the phone out of the alignment screen. 3) Weatherpanel - I know, I know... this is a known issue, but it worked without a problem under wm5. I guess I'm just hoping that someone will find a way around the green screen lockup issues that the application causes under wm6 and post it here. These could totally be limited to my usage pattern or my hardware (as most of my issues seem to be), but I wanted to throw these out there to see if any broader issues could be identified. Thanks to all for all of your hard work on making this phone so great.
