We might want to pull SprintTV out of the OEM packages. It is now officially DOA on the Sprint server side - unauthorized user is what you'll get on connect. Seems they finally figured out how to turn off access :p Or at least put some disclaimer in, until/unless Sprint reopens access.

BT Audio Skipping w/jabra 8010
I love this latest work. So much potential here!
One flaw I just CANNOT fix.. I was on a previous build 3.5(?) with Toggle BT and my audio sucked but it was functional. Here's my situation: HTC Apache No WiFi enabled MP3 copied to internal storage Using WMP to play the MP3 Sounds good, no skipping, the phone plays it fine Goto Bluetooth Select the Jabra 8010 Select "Set as Wireless Stereo" All audio transfers to the headset No music though Pause/Play toggle and music comes on for ~3 seconds During those 3 seconds I'd swear the music is much better than the previous build Music will cut in and out at random, like a CPU issue I've tried: - overclocking (no effect) - disabling the stereo feature in Advanced Config - increased the sampling rate in Advance Config (it was at 44k and I went to 48k) - rebuilt/reflashed the phone with and without MS voice command - unpaired, repaired, reset, and even flashed the 8010s to the latest firmware 1-40-0 - loading "Audio Gateway" thinking that might help like Toggle BT - tried using the phone first then the music - checked Jabra's site for tips - searched Google for all sorts of "skipping" "pausing" keywords that had me all over PDAPhone.com - I've searched here and found some people used a "broadcomm BT stack"? I must be spelling it wrong, where is it? - Tried to find an installable copy of Toggle BT (I have it in a RAR set when I backed up my laptop, but that's a HUGE mess..) I'm finally going to be a lamah and just post a plea for help even though I seem to be the only one on the planet with this issue!? OMG! Hahaha.. I just tried to set an MP3 as ringtone, went into the ringtone test and the whole song plays without hiccups! Looks like I need a better media player? UPDATE: And now it stopped working flawlessly.. It chunks out and skips when I set an MP3 ringtone and preview it. I'm gonna toss it back in the kitchen again. |
I really like mortplayer, but then I'm pretty sure any player is better then WMP.
|
MortPlayer looks great.. Too bad it doesn't play to the headset at all for me??!
I transfer the audio to the headset and MortPlayer is the only app still playing on the PPC speaker!!?! I went throught he MortPlayer setup and I can't see any options that would make it ignore the headset and play on the internal PPC speaker.. Too wierd! My last build in the kitchen included the HTC Audio Manager but that doesn't look like a music player, the "Player" option in the menu is grey'd out? |
Speakerphone issues?
Has anyone else experienced this? When I get a phone call and answer using either the "send" key or the "answer" button on the dialer, the call goes automatically to speakerphone. Then the phone says I missed the call even though I can continue to talk to the caller and am able to turn of the speaker. The "in call" screen shows unknown caller, while the "missed call" screen shows the actual call. Other than that it is a great build. Thanks to all involved.=D>

When I run the buildos program I get several errors with the first being -> unknown carrier type, and then module PPCGeeks_OEM.rar not found, then a lot of other modules not found - most of them office mobile related....
any ideas ? |

I looked at the contents of the PPCGeeks_OEM.rar archive and was wondering if it is possible to install the apps listed there separately after the custom rom is created and the phone is running in case I wanted to install the apps some place else temporarily to try them out ?
Thanks... |
Ok,
I got the initial startup errors fixed by removing the split office, and selecting my carrier after the buildos loads completely, exiting and restarting. I also downloaded the PPCGeeks_OEM.rar file via ftp and saved it in the WM6 directory. My next error is: error building default.hv and user.hv any ideas ? |

Those registry entries have been in the kitchen since the first release, but they were not being processed correctly. As of the 20071117 revision that has been fixed and they are being added in successfully.

I'm still getting the "Unknown Carrier Type" error when I open BuildOS. And then when I try to flash I get a FAT16 filesize error (and yes I am SURE I am using the correct folder for the prj). I am a Verizon user. When I remove the Office progs from the oem rar it gives me the same Carrier error and also an error that the modules were not found.
Any ideas? |
Vibrating Dial Pad
Is anyone else having problems with the vibrating dial pad working? I cooked this into my ROM and it worked for a while but within the last week or so it only "default" beeps at me instead of vibrating:scratch:.

Vibrate issues

Recommendation: If it won't vibrate for any app, try tapping it a bit. Maybe the vibrator is stuck. |
