Yep, got a couple of fixes last week. To save ya a bunch of searching here's the file. It's a .cab installer. There was talk about adding the registry changes to the new kitchen update as well, but I'm not positive that they got the chance. This is an easy and immediate fix. It got my power usage to about where it was in the WM5 ROM.

Those registry entries have been in the kitchen since the first release, but they were not being processed correctly. As of the 20071117 revision that has been fixed and they are being added in successfully.

Sorry Luv, senior moment on my part. I remember now your post that the entries were there but being overwritten, and the next release would solve the issue. I haven't had the opportunity to flash a new ROM yet with the new release. I figured the cab would help those like me that haven't had the opp to reflash with the new release. Glad to hear that it's solved in the new kitchen, and I'll probably recook tomorrow eve. Can't wait any longer!

I'm still getting the "Unknown Carrier Type" error when I open BuildOS. And then when I try to flash I get a FAT16 filesize error (and yes I am SURE I am using the correct folder for the prj). I am a Verizon user. When I remove the Office progs from the oem rar it gives me the same Carrier error and also an error that the modules were not found.

Any ideas?

Vibrating Dial Pad

Is anyone else having problems with the vibrating dial pad working? I cooked this into my ROM and it worked for a while but within the last week or so it only "default" beeps at me instead of vibrating:scratch:.

Sure, simple fix. Figured it out all by myself ;) Open Build OS and wait for it to load completeley. Up on the top bar are Device,OS,RUU and Carrier. Click and select Verizon(in your case) and then click File on the top right hand and select save. This saves your carrier select to the selections file and eliminates the unknown carrier error, and will probably fix the other problems as well, since it sets the .prj pointers to look for your carrier.

Still no resolution to this? I've searched and can't find an answer on why this doesn't work or how to fix it.

Thanks!

Vibrate issues

My other....I can't remember how it used to work, but. When I am on a phone call, the indicator goes from EV to 1X and then back to EV once the call is terminated.. Is that how it's supposed to work? I searched on that subject for awhile to no avail.
Ok...one more. When I am in a low service area within the normal calling area, sometime the roam indicator comes on. Odd I say.....

Thanks for listening....any help is appreciated.

My XV6700 stopped vibrating after updating with the latest kitchen. I just dropped it this AM when it rang (no vibrate) with an incoming call, and it started vibrating again when I picked it up. So it could be hardware.
Recommendation: If it won't vibrate for any app, try tapping it a bit. Maybe the vibrator is stuck.
