I've decided I am not gonna do this until I read and understand a lot more than I do right now.

What I'd like to know is if it's possible to have the WM6 desktop gui on WM5? It's the clock....I need the clock......on the desktop....large and in charge, so to speak, then bye bye wristwatch.
I took a look around in the WM6 kitchen, but I didn't see anything. Is it there somewhere?

thx

The clock id from HTC home plug in but I don't know if you can put it on WM5. Maybe someone else can tell you. What are you still confused about?

Yeah, you can put the clock on WM5, check the software forum. I know it's in there.

Ahhhhh...I just wanna read some more and understand all this stuff. The last thing I wanna do is turn this thing into a brick.
I've been dikkin' around with RAZRs.....buying broken ones and fixin em up....I've got guinea pigs to use for hacking, etc........I don't have another Apache lyin' around.........

Unless you disconnect or kill the batttery while flashing, you can't hardly break these things. Bite the bullet and jump in...the water is nice.

You guys are funny! Dive right in, huh......?

The phone does have to be activated before upgrading, correct?
If so, I won't be able to upgrade until Wednesday.

does anyone know how to get rid of all six tabs on the htc home plugin? i've done some searching but haven't found anything really useful yet.

GaMedic 12-29-2007 12:21 AM

Go to start>settings>today>HTC tab. Uncheck all the tabs and that should do it.

cheesegrater 12-29-2007 10:25 AM

thats what i thought too. i tried editing the registry also. no matter what i do i always end up with the home tab. just hoping to reclaim some space.
