About your problem. You mentioned a few pages back that you had designed your own bootscreen. It was a mobile black version. Did you happen to find a bootscreen location and replace it with your "spash" screen design? I am not thinking that you even found a place to replace the bootscreen. But that would surely mess things up if you did, I think.
The bootscreen is just a whiped out gray, not a graphic file.
Also by your list I am not that technical but did you load more than one HTC rom? Probably not as well. Just poking around for you.

Splash screens are easily modified through the kitchen. There are also threads on how to do it outside the kitchen.

The boot screen is a well known 16-bit graphic format - 565 format. It's not a "file" on the rom, however - it's loaded into a dedicated memory area. I'm not at all sure how you got a gray bootscreen (I think the default is black or an image, not gray). The main splash is a different animal - it's welcomehead.96.png in /windows.

Hey I did manage to get wm6 on ppc6700. There's a problem. When I sync my outlook - contacts, calender, notes and tasks, some contacts are missing. Calendar does not sync. Task some sync. Notes all sync. Any clue on what is the problem? 3689/3995 got synced.

How do I get Vista running with the kitchen? How can I add other programs in the ROM? Is there a place where I can add in folder and then they are in ROM?

Hey guys, I am running Vista with WMDC 6.1.6965. I have managed to run Kitchen and cook the ROM with no issues but when it goes to flash the phone, I get the error message. RUU has Stopped Working. Windows is checking... At this point my phone gets stuck in bootloader mode requiring the use of the Uni_exitbootloader.exe app. When the phone finally gets rebooted, I still have WM5 but all of the settings are back to the original settings, email, preferences etc are all reset. Any ideas what the heck i am doing wrong?

No, it won't. You need a mogul kitchen. Check the Mogul/Upgrades forum.

Have you set the RUU to run as administrator? Right click on the RUU.exe you use (they're in c:\buildos\upgrades), select properties, check Run as Administrator.

I'm going through this. I would need more time for this. Kitchen is much better. I have no clue on programming. I have a problem. "I feel there's a bug in WM6. I'm not sure. I had original ROM and it synced all my PIM data well. Now with WM6, it does not sync. Contacts 3692/3998, Calendar 0/457, Notes 37/37 and Tasks 5/81. The total pim.vol size is 15.4M from File Explorer. The format is PPC/Outlook. These got synced. I have no clue why is this happening. Is there some restriction for the pim.vol size? Total pim.vol size was 16.2MB.Or are there any other kinds of restrictions? I read someone saying that having 10,000 contacts is not a problem. I'm nothing near to that. I've used the latest kitchen. Do help me please. I ran the kitchen from WinXP machine. I sync with Vista. Is there a way to get the no. of contacts, calendar, notes and tasks like outlook? This would be good. I'm giving this no. from PIMbackup, I also checked through Stools. I didn't do anything else with the above mentioned 2 programs.".
