It is the process of performing the soft reset that is causing the issue. In order to save setting changes to flash memory (reliably), it is recommended that you put the device in standby mode (and possibly restore to active) before you soft reset. Your other option is to soft reset using an application (which will save all settings before it resets) instead of using the stylus to use the hardware reset "button" in the bottom of the phone.

Ringtones not saving....
Quote:
I've tried saving ringtones and using the application to soft reset and it still doesn't change the ringtones. I did play with it and found out it will let you choose the following: Ring-Standard Ring-Vision Ring-WindowsMobile No others will stick. When you chose the others, and click OK, then go back into options, it is set to ring-standard or one of the other ones. I've changed the other files to not be "read-only" and it still doesn't work. MP3 files put into the Windows\Rings folder to work and stick. Any ideas? Other than that, this is the best I've ever ran on this phone. |
