ISSUE: Programs aren't closing on 'X', just being hidden. Use Showcase to fix. Showcase may crash pocket outlook, it is not my ROM that is unstable.
Note:WM6.5 will close the process when memory is needed.

So far so good. There are some minor problems I have found:

-typing letters to search for programs/apps won't work
-progs/apps aren't sorted by names
-click X to close progs/apps (set in Task Manager) is not working either

I wish the Treo Pro screen could be a bit large.

I cant get the palm threaded messaging app (800w) to work is that a winmo 6.5 issue or something with the rom?I cant stand the windows threaded messaging.looks like I will be going back to 6.1 as all I do is text.


any chance you can build a rom using an earlier build of 6.5?Im really not liking the task bar at the bottom

Welcome to 6.5.

1) Typing letters to search for apps was removed, for some reason.

2) No they are not sorted, but you can sort them yourself.

3) Clicking X to close programs was an HTC Task Manager feature, Windows Mobile has never closed programs. So when HTC develops a task manager that will close these programs, I will update when they release.
The release could be coming soon as HTC had just released a 6.5.1 based ROM a few days ago.

BUG: when phone goes into standby after 30 minutes there is a problem with getting the black screen only.... in best case only topbar and nothing else...

Is this due to the 'Press any key to continue', Phone lock?

Keep in mind, that I don't have a GSM device to test and debug on. I'm just using the same ROM's for my CDMA, with the GSM specific files.

Hi All, this ROM is excellent work, many thanks for the effort involved! I am seeing the same problem as mentioned above... To me it appears only to be when a SIM is in the device... I'm just testing out my theory now... I'll post back in this thread if it is anything relevant!!

I'm using exchange server which has security lock policy so my phone has a code, what happens I get treo touch center button which passes after that I get slider to unlock the phone, enter password and after that black screen... phone is alive, someone can call me and I can answer but that is it...

this only happens after approx 30min in lock mode second thing, there is nowhere to be found an option to disable english autocorrect

The setting for sorting by names (\Setting\Systems\Task Manager\Others) is not going to work. That is the only place for prog sorting I can find.

Someone mentioned that SPB Mobile Shell fixes this issue...

And, someone else mentioned changing the Home Timeout in:
Settings -> Today -> Items -> Home Timeout


I'm sorry, I don't have a GSM device, so I'm relatively clueless... Have you tried disabling things like the KeyGuard?

You may want to also disable Titanium, for testing...

I tried disabling the Keyguard and the device ran all day until tonight, where the freeing black screen happened, only difference being that I could see the top bar, Operator, Battery etc.

disabled home timout - no solution disabled screen saver - no solution I've installed SPB and it worked for a while and then again same thing, and now there is no pattern in black screen, I'll try right now to disable titanium

Okay, let me try building 23089 ROM for GSM. I've read it happening on other devices for 23081, if that doesn't work, I'll try an older build (which has been reported to work).

I'm building 23071 AND 23089, and you guys can tell me the stable one, and I'll post the working ROM.

Disabled Home Timeout, seemed OK until I manually locked the device and then black screen...

Didn't try disabling titanium though...

Hello

I just installed the last build (23089).
When I lock my phone with the power button (screen saver with time), the touch screen doesn't work anymore.
Buttons (windows, OK, Mail and calendar) are OK, but no more touch screen.

The only way to restore it, is to reboot the device.

Any idea ?

Build 23081 is working fine for me. I have tried to lock my phone by using Palm keyguard or WM KeyGuard, and the touch screen is still functional after unlocking.
I did not use the screen saver (disable). I have not encountered problems as Garcimor did.

The latest ROM seems fine, even with leaving the screen saver active... Not had any issues thus far since flashing earlier this evening!!
