Re: WM6.5 build 21884 (problems solved!)

ROM installed fine. I really need a ROM that has the Microsoft Alarm clock bugs fixed. Let me know if you decide to build a newer 6.5.x ROM and I'll be glad to test those for you. This one doesn't seem to allow mp3's to be used as alarms and has problems repeating the alarm sound. It also uses the old style interface which works great with the stylus but not as easy to use with fingers like the newer ones are. Thanks for your hard work on this!

Re: WM6.5 build 21884 (problems solved!)

Tested and lovin it Mord4z, thanks for the great work!

I have a couple of questions, maybe you can help me since you cooked this one: the "msn weather" "marketplace" "msn money" the search tools (search widget with a Bing icon) and the "Microsoft My Phone", how many of these things can be removed and how?

Another one: In the "Today screen" is there any way to change/replace IE with another browser like Opera or Minimo?

Thanks!!

The only way that I know to how to remove the system apps is to make this before release the rom! You can remove the shortcut by now. Maybe I'll provide a naked rom later, but before I need to release my 6.1 rom.

To customize the Titanium you can use the titanium customizer from xda developers.

Re: WM6.5 build 21884 (problems solved!)

Aye aye, Captain!

Understood until now. By the way, the ROM i were using was the 24-02, but i tried the 27-02 and i notice a light improvement on the speed and there are no graphical issues. Until now, i haven´t had any problems. I will try the titanium customizer and will tell you how it went.

I think is kinda dangerous to say this, but i like Opera 5 more than IE. Anyway, i´ll try then...

Thanks again man! Great job with your last ROM

Re: WM6.5 build 21884 Build date: 03-14-2010

I tried on my PALM. But I couldnt upgrade the room on it. I ran RoomUpgradeUltility and followed its direction. But the USB connection was failed, then it said error, I had to exit and recovery my Palm. I tried some more times, but it was still failed.
P/S it said my palm can be upgraded to version 0.0.0.0 ??? is there something wrong?

The "version 0.0.0.0 " is normal. To solve the usb issue:
1- put your TP in bootloader mode (power button, camera and reset) then plug it on you pc.
2- Try again the RoomUpgradeUltility software, if no success go to next step!
3- With your device plugged on your pc, go to hardware management and remove the Microsoft USB Sync device. Make the hardware management to find new devices, they W'll find the Microsoft USB Sync device again. Try the updater again. If no success yet, try to change the usb port or: keep your device in bootloader mode when run the RoomUpgradeUltility plug your device.

I'm using a vmWare machine on a mac and some times I have issues with usb, the steps above solved this problem here. Try and tell if works for you.

Re: WM6.5 build 21884 Build date: 03-14-2010

I did it. It was showing that 0%, then the error appeared. it was still the error (262) about usb connection. But after I did the recovery, and checked the connection, my TP was still able to connect to my PC.
My TP is an unlocked one and I have never done anything on it. Im using Windows 7. So is there any explanation for this issue.
Thank you very much.
