There's a report on TechCrunch that he got an OTA Froyo update, but there's only a handful of other people confirming this. Most of the people on XDA haven't received it yet either, so it could be BS.

I'm going through a walkthrough right now, so I'll let you know how it works. I have the At&t version so it might be different.

I gotta backup my whole SD card and reformat it though since the Froyo App2SD works with FAT32 and not the ext partition that we've been using.

This is supposed to be a repacked version, so if you're unlocked and have a custom recovery image, you can just flash this like any other update.zip.

I'm downloading it now...about 6 mins left from MediaFire.

got it thanks for the link for the custom recovery one. I was figuring out how to revert back to stock recovery to flash it. That helped me quite a bit. thanks Mindfrost.

you do not need to flash back to stock to flash, modaco made a stock rom that doesn't require prerequiste

I had luckily flashed stock earlier today. Thanks for the heads up though in case I wasn't. I flash stock ere, then flashed the rom mind posted and worked. Even packeged with root....

you're lucky. i can't get the recovery image back onto my phone. I followed the fastboot instructions and fastboot is finding my device but once i go to flash the recovery image it will not load
