yes gt2l, I'm worried that even with a pc connected it will use a idle timer on the wifi. That's how the wording reads to me.
A simple command such as this ping.exe Yahoo! -t -w 3000 -l 1

will keep your connection alive.

-t pings the specified host until you tell it to stop
-w sets the timeout in between to 3000 milliseconds
-l 1 is the file size. 1 byte is insignificant.

not all wifi clients have shell command/scripts available. but I suppose a script could be made for the phone to ping any dhcp clients.

I've not seen any documentation... official or otherwise... to suggest what the idle timeout is based on, so I wouldn't spend any time worrying about it until we know.
