Just because minimum system requirements for Windows 7 is a Pentium 3 1Ghz, 1 GB of memory and 16 GB of storage and a small VGA monitor - doesn't mean that is what a windows 7 fanboy should buy from worst buy. A little headroom is a good thing. I upgraded my vogue through 3 revisions of WM. Why would anyone want to have the minimum hardware?

absolutely agree

a 4.3" Super LCD or AMOLED screen
4G communications
MSM8x60 CPU (not yet certified for WP7)
1800 mah battery
BT 3.0
USB 3.0
11 mm or slimmer

I'm done waiting for Verizon to get with the ball...and totaly sick of their "not giving customers what they want" BS.

The race is on for me. What ever hits first.

HTC HD7s (HD7 with a Super LCD) on AT&T or the HTC Trophy on Vzw, what ever comes first.

I'm not afraid to give AT&T a shot for 2 years, I can always go back if they are that bad. From tests from family on AT&T in my area, its better than Verizon...so I wont think twice about trying them.

I'm kind of really hoping the HD7s hits first...I love the HD7 but hate T-mobile coverage in my area (and no SLCD on T-moble version).

Time will tell but, the race is on !!!

Would you rather just bend over and say - yep Verizon's got them in stock but they are just going to hold on to them for a few more months - that will make the hardware appreciate in value because nothing makes electronics more valueable than age! If you believe it I have plenty of 2X CD players and 1 GB hard drives along with a plethora of amber monochrome CRTs I'll be happy to sell you.

What I'm doing is trying to look at it as a glass half full - maybe Verizon's not dicking us over by holding on to their precious Trophy but trying to clear their inventory of an already antiquated piece of hardware of which they had a limited stock and are getting something far better for their loyal customers :)

Optimism in VZW, I remember those days :occasion5: I posted on page 13 about patience, love, and harmony... and VZW pushed the release date back 3 times since then. Things could be much worse I suppose. If one of my complaints in life is about a company not letting me throw money at them so I can buy a damn phone, then things "ain't so bad."

Now that that's out the way lets take look at the iPhone launch. Months before iPhone 5 will be released and VZW puts out iPhone 4. CDMA radio installed, FCC approval, out the door like clockwork. There were no pre-order flyers to apple employees or anything of that nature (that I know of) so whats going on with WP7? Somebody said a few posts ago that it is likely that VZW wants to fill a pre-order quota, and lock MS employees into a 2 year contract, so that they can make back the money spent on WP7 devices. That number was not reached so they push the date back until it is and when questioned about it their response probably sounds something like this: "If your employees dont want this phone, why the f#ck should we sell it."

Whatever the reason for the delays, ill just wait. I want a new phone I dont need one.

You could be right, I just noticed that they JUST lowered the price of the Fathom online to FREE. Maybe they are cleaning house before they release it because they know when WP7 comes out, none of these 6.5 and 6.5.3 phones will be selling anymore at all.

u obviously have not even read all of my post. im talking about the hardware too and u can't even compare this to the bluray/19"TV situation because it is not the same thing. lookin at 4G the rollout is not complete yet and it sucks battery like crazy 3G is fast enough for everything I do. the whole 4G thing currently is just bragging rights for carriers.

No need to read all of your post since obviously you didn't read or at least comprehend all of my post. 4G is just one aspect of the phone. The most important is a decent sized screen. Jobs who insisted that he wouldn't increase the size of the screen on the iphone is probably increasing it for the 5. The processor on the WP7 device list has been upgraded even though the Verizon hasn't even released their first phone. BT 3.0 has been out for a while now - why not include that? There are MANY areas that the Trophy could be improved using existing technology found on other phones that are already released.

I can honestly say that I'm getting fed up, and would just kill for any kind of official timeline from verizon, but I'm stuck with a verizon family plan, and I've been looking forward to this OS since the moment it was announced, and I'm up for a new contract now-ish. So I really am in for the long haul to see how long it takes them to release this phone. Sure I'm upset and am feeling a little led along, but I'm just excited to own a reasonably nice smartphone with what I think is the best mobile OS available today.

Latest word...May 5th...We'll see if it gets delayed again. I'm beyond fed up with VZW...

HTC HD7s(AT&T) or HTC Trophy...what ever hits first I will be getting. My wife wants a iPhone so I am waiting (on AT&T or VZW)

That's totally fair. If only I had the luxury of switching carriers, but I just don't. On a slightly off topic note, I really enjoy that the "WP7 Verizon" google alert brings me to this thread every single day. :toothy7:
