Yeah, because Samsung and other dvd makers are great at smartphone UI. And motorola too. won't comment on HTC the pig of pigs.

See iPhone sales at ATT due to "customization" (ie. good actual phone software design)

It also frustrates me that things like Facebook are integral to the OS design. What happens in 3 or 4 years when facebook goes the way of MySpace and people are using something else? SPB is one of the ugliest UI's I've seen even at it's best. Looks old to me in every theme I've seen. Doesn't run very well when I've used it either. Touch Flo/Sense is nice but HTC isn't consistent with it. They have 3 versions out there right now (Hero, 2.1 and 2.5) and I'm sure more down the line. I love all three of them but I love what I've seen of 7 so far just as much if not more. So I'm fine giving those up and I think in the long run most people will as well.

You can't please everyone. Even if this was the best OS ever made by miles there would still be people who didn't like it.

You don't have to use facebook. Don't log into it, not a problem. Also when/if it dies off Microsoft will just add in whatever the new shit is. Twitter is popular now and it'll be built in according to that 22 minute video. So will flickr. I have no doubt Microsoft will cover their bases here. I think you're making it a bigger deal than it really is.

Game changer? WHERE?????????? They integrated the phone with zune and threw in xbox live and thats game changing? :scratch: Sorry but I have to stand by my point.. there's nothing in that video thats going to convince anyone to switch from BB, Iphone or Android back to winmo since a lot of the things they showed other systems ALREADY do.

I think one thing people here dont realize is that the majority of people that buy phones ARENT ppc geeks. They want a phone that will work out of the box, looks good and the iphone has set the standard with the app market. This is why Android is working so hard at improving their app store. People that actually flash & customize phones is VERY small in comparison to the number of people that own smartphones.. and with this new wm7 thing looks like itll be even smaller lol

plus the fact that 99.9% of our current devices can't run this thing makes it a fail to me.

This is the dumbest shit i've heard... a lot of people have strayed away from getting the iphone JUST BECAUSE its ON AT&T.. you really think sales will go DOWN when it opens to other carriers? Seriously.. did some of you people take economics in high school? And i'm a "hater" that's owned winmo devices for the past 5 years... yea... right.

haha what? there's a shit ton of new android users out there. i just talked to a sprint rep and android is the hottest item on the market now. im stating the facts, im not here to get into a mobile os war with you. if android wasn't soo popular than why are most devs working to get it on all the current winmo phones? think about that.
