Red face Help with switching old phone to new one!

I'm lost and trying to switch my old Alltel phone to a newer used one from a friend. Dont' have a clue although I've been trying to research it. I'm going from an LG old beater without a sim card to a Motorola PEBl set up through Att. It is unlocked but has a sim card in it that has about $15 on it he said. Is it possible for me to switch out my old phone to this one? Thanks a ton!! Lynn
PS, it has an IMEI number since he is from out of the states. It may not even be possible...

Re: Help with switching old phone to new one!

Nope. We have a CDMA network and that is a GSM network phone. Try to get one that says Alltel or Verizon on it.
