I do agree with you about the apple community running scared, but, the "everyone" I'm reffering to, are the converts and even some of the ppl on this site, from the winmo threads! I myself, hate apple with a passion! They just aren't up to my standards, IMO. Everyone is allowed to have thier opinion and that is why I started this thread, because I am more than willing to hear everyone's take on the current decline of the Winmo OS. MS def has to pull up thier socks and stop trailing behind the competition and be in the race! If not, they are going to lose a lot of ppl that look to them on an every day basis!

MS is going to have to add turn-by-turn to Bing to compete with Google Maps. Just a question of how soon they can push it out.

Competition is good!

Am I a WM loyalist?

Yes. Definitely. No question. Unabashedly so.

I wasn't always one though. I was a dedicated Palm hoor from around 01 to 08, I had several different models of Palm PDAs, 3 Treos, and a Centro. Prior to that I had had a few dumbphones, a S60 Nokia, and a Sidekick 2. My magic moment with WM happened when I bought a used Mogul off Craigslist last October. Now, I won't use anything else. I love the control & flexibility that WM offers over all other OSes. You can do SO MUCH with it, and customize it any way you want. I've played with Android & iPhones, and the interface is nice but rather limited. And I don't like limits. So yes, I am a WM loyalist, and I hope it never dies out.

Even if WM were to be discontinued or changed so radically as to become unrecognizable, we geeks would keep it going. Hell, look at the Apple Newton. Those things were out for like a minute back in the early 90's, & they're STILL being used & people are still making apps for them. People are still hacking OKIs for christ's sake.

I really don't like Apple either. I mainly hate the way their products simply REEK of pretentiousness & are ridiculously overpriced.

while i did move on to the pre.( which im loving webos atm ) Wm aint going nowhere..they just got a wake up call thats all. they need to rethink the game and move with the times.. If it wasnt for apple just think where we would be today... using the mogul 3 by now,lol instead of the tp2.. thats the only thing i thank apple for.. now they can go fly off a cliff, lol

Imo, its not dead.

Its been running around in circles while everyone else is moving forward. Maybe wm7 will make it sober up and move forward it a good pace

There are so many competitors out there now, but IMO I think most of the users who have left wm will come back! I say most, not all :) I can't bring myself to leave wm at all! I am loyal to my wm!
