Capacitive touch screen and stylus...?

ok so basically capacitive touch screen from what ive read use electrical impulses to work right?....well why not just make a stylus that can carry the electrical impulses through it to the tip of the stylus?....is this possible....im not sure exactly how all this works i just have an idea that if worked would make winmo devices unbeatable imho...
