I'm in the service area (Nashville) but always use wifi. Screw that band of criminals that call themselves Verizon. Why should I give them more of my money?

im in pure evdo wherever i go, but inside the house the speed isnt all that impressive.. if im impatient i'll resort to my wireless network..

I hate going to Phoenix, cuz I get to play with EVDO there and know that I have to come back to this 1x crap when I get home.

You sound like I did last year. :)

You can always take 95 up to Needles or Bullhead to get EVDO too. :o

It took Sprint almost six months to get EV fully working in the current areas it's active now. The rest of the area is in the 120 days but it has been longer then that since the maps indicated EV in those other areas. Which includes my house. :(

Yeah, 95's not bad right now. But in April I had to go to Quartzsite. Had a hard time breaking 45 mph with the snowbird caravan driving North. For those of you that have been lucky enough to not deal with snowbirds, they are old people that are too blind to walk straight, but they hop into 40 ft. RV's somewhere in Canada and flock south for the winter. Once they get here they drive no less than 20 mph below the speed limit (it's written in the snowbird by-laws) and generally just piss people off.

For this reason, I do my very best to avoid Hwy 95.

You live in that area Budney? If you do, sometime I may have to make that trip (during the summer when the snowbirds aren't around.)

Yes, I live in Ft. Mohave right now, just south of Bullhead. Your Snowbird definition is perfect. :D Do most of the Snowbirds you get in Yuma come from Canada? Most we get here are from the Mid-West & Great Lakes Region. And April it a bad month for the area, don't forget the Harleys. :)

in NYC and almost always in evdo, but $40 a month? ill use free wifi when i can find it.

Perasite 06-07-2007 07:50 PM

Most of ours are from Canada, Idaho, Washington, or Oregon. My wife use to manage a self storage place with RV storage. One time this old dude came in to get an RV spot. 2 hours later he was still trying to back it into the space, and he had just driven in from Canada. 2000 miles, but couldn't park the thing!

budney 06-07-2007 09:12 PM

We too get quite a few from the Pacific NW. Between your wife and my boss we could right a novel with all the stories they could share. my boss was the manager at the Riverside's RV Park for thirteen years. :D

... And now to get back on topic. :D

Any body in Rev A territory? I think my area is, but until I get the 6800 (& upgraded) I won't truly know.

I'm in FL now with full EVDO but moving to Greenville, SC in a couple weeks... which apparently only has 1xrtt for sprint - but EVDO for verizon! SOB
