Short cuts on Today screen?

I'm trying to figure out to set a short cut for stopping and closing running programs. It would make it alot easier then going to the whole settings, system, memory, running programs ordeal. I found this program on Freeware but I don't think it will work with WM6. Any help would be great thanks..!!!
