CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
Anyone been able to find any good cases for our CDMA TP2's? I bought the clear hard case that telus sell's for $15 +tax. Couldn't find anything online before i went in to buy the phone, so i ended up letting telus rip me off for a case. Had to protect my baby!

Did they have the leather one for you to look at? I posted some pics on this thread a little while back.... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...3&postcount=17 I like this one a lot. The two plastic ones they had just seemed so wrong for such a nice phone ;) |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?

I got this one as well but the plastic rotating belt clip makes me nervous as I have broken several at the swivel point. What I am really looking for is exactly what came with the Touch a simple pouch with a magnetic closure and a spring steel fixed belt clip. If anyone knows of anything like that I would appreciate a link! :) |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I took my pro case (the one with velcro) and stretched the stretchy things out and my pro2 fits in it really well....
|
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
LOL, its funny, if u watch unboxing vids of some of the other TP2s, they have a leather magnetic case included... damn Telus i guess...
im on sprint, im sure ours will come with this case as well |

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I do so wish the west coast would get the same treatment eastern Canada gets.
I hope the Telus stores here get those cases. How much was it, CovKid? I went to the dollar store and got a cheap blackberry case for $5 that works well, at least until we get decent cases here. The Telus one looks a whole lot nicer :) |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
i have the telus case... got it for my birthday actually i dont have a single problem with it the phone fits in it very nice and snug and the case is pretty tough as well! love it!

Telus apparently has a nice one too, for $50. |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I have the same on and love it. Nice and cheap. I stretched the elastic out a bit and the phone slides in and out a bit better and is not quite so snug now.

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
Yeah, it's not cheap but I would pay that to have a correctly fitted case.
I personally still love my side holster P4000 case and now that I have my stupid strap attached to the back of the phone so I don't drop it, I'm not as particular. Now if only the damn private stores here would actually get them. You guys seriously have no idea how good you've got it!!! :) |

My corporate store didn't have any of hte good cases either. They gave me one of those plastic junkers for free... but I took it back to them and told them to give it to the next guy who buys the phone. It's a piece of junk. I think the cases were released to stores where they anticipated the highest demand. (there's only 3 touch pro2's (one I bought and another my dad bought) that have been shipped to my city total at all possible locations. None at futureshop or anywhere just the telus retail location) |

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I got a case for an HTC dream at the Rogers store today.
It was 24.99 and is a leather slide in case, the inside is soft biscuit coloured seude. It's even got the htc logo embedded in the corner. It fits nice and snug, and even if it stretches a bit it will be more than fine. It also has no magnet to mess with your sensor, so the screen doesn't turn on when you put it in your pocket. Here's a couple pics http://www.northernflights.ca/acc/front.jpg http://www.northernflights.ca/acc/profile.jpg |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
nice lookin case for a good price

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I get nervous with no "clasp" or some way to lock it.
I wonder if they have any HTC hero type cases that would fit that have a clasp, I may have to check it out on my trip to the mall today. But really, for $25 that's not too bad at all. |

There were some cases like you are describing there for the hero too. |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I picked up that same clear 2 piece plastic case from Telus and love it.. Adds the perfect protection to the phone as I like keeping my baby close to me in my pocket...
The leather cases leave the phone to exposed for my liking... - ReDz |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
Well, it may be easy to find these cases in the east coast, but evem going into a rogers location in the mall, they have NO HTC branded cases. no one does. I'm going to try searching next time I am in Vancouver, but the west coast is just getting shafted.
I guess I can just thank my lucky stars I actually got the phone... |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
If your Pro2 does not have a front mounted camera, do not buy the hard rubber case off eBay. It looks really nice, the hole for the camera is one the front. It will not fit one your phone, I'm guessing the GSM Version has a different battery cover than the CDMA version, so the back cover does not fit properly. Good thing is was only $10.00 :angry7:

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I hear a few people talking about this clear plastic case they got from Telus for $15.00. I called my local Telus store and they said they had not heard anything about that and only carry the leather case. Can some one please upload some pics of what the phone looks like with the clear plastic case on and is that case designed specially for the TP2 or is it for some other phone and just fits nicely on the TP2?

You CANNOT use the clear armour with the typical TP2 case, since it makes the phone about 4mm thicker all around. The only peeve I really have for the armour case is the way it attaches you have to remove it before you can get at the battery compartment, so when that annoying soft-reset needed occurs.... you get the additional joy of trying to pry it off with your fingernails first. I'll upload photos later tonight if someone doesn't beat me to it in this thread. |

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
I am amazed at the lack of cases for the TP2.
Mine has been incredibly frustrating as of late due to the stupid MAGNET turning the screen on and messing up incoming calls. I'm going on a trip down to the states next week and wouldn't mind picking up something from there, but T-Mobile seems to be taking the same stance as Telus and not providing any accessories. With Telus not being able to provide a darn thing here in BC, I don't know what to do. It's frustrating, and I couldn't even get the HTC Hero slip case. Any thoughts people?? |

Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
Call me crazy, but I kind of like the one I have with the magnetic clip. I got it at a Connect store for free when I got the phone, it's leather and branded "SurePower". I just remember to push the lock button after I put it in, and I kind of like how it turns itself on as I'm pulling it out of the case.
Whether or not this is doing damage to the phone is another question, but at least I've got 2 years of warranty... hehe. |

however I am not a fan of the fake croc look... and I wonder if the magnet is turning the screen on, notice that it was up and going in that vid? |
Re: CDMA TP2 cases, any good ones?
Is this battery and charger and case going to work for the Sprint touch pro 2?

For anybody considering the Telus clear armor..here are some pics. It also fits snug enough to get rid of my annoying space bar click. :)
