doesnt sound like hes selling the software just installing it. i know people charge to unlock yoour phone on CL all the time.

its not illegal since he isnt selling the product but her service to install the product.... if you can get him to say that he is charging for the apps or such and the service is free than he would be breaking the law..... but as of now he is in clear since his time and doing it is what he is charging for

Well, if people don't know how to do something, they will pay someone else to do it. I used to pay to get my oil changed up until a couple years ago, now I do it myself. This is why Geek Squad exists. As long as there are people willing to pay $100+ for a spyware scan, they'll be in business.

This isn't illegal, he's trading services for payment. Might just post an ad to that flavor myself!
