Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
Hi everyone. Ok I have a GV# already, and I have MagiCall...but how on earth do I get Sprint to give me free calls to/from my GV#?? I called Sprint and the rep had no idea about being able to choose 1 number to send/receive calls for free 24/7. He said there used to be a add-on feature for 1 number free 24/7 but it costed $8 per month and could only be offered/added on older plans and I have the 1500 Everything Data Shared Plan so Im not eligable.
I also asked about the conditional/unconditional call forwarding. According to him, only the conditional call forwarding is no charge as of 11/8/09. I also asked what codes to use to activate/deactivate the conditional call forwarding and he gave me the following info: Call Forwarding codes: Unconditional (*72 ) (NOT FREE) Busy (*74 ) (FREE) No Answer (*73 ) (FREE) Busy & No Answer (*28 ) (FREE) (Add 0 after each code and dial to cancel.) |
Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
They wont give you free calls to and from your google voice number. You might luck up and get pick 3. But the cell phone providers are well aware of google voice now and are relatively quick at catching it as a free number. So you may get it free but it wouldn't stay that way long.

Lol...and for the record - I didnt outright tell them that it was a Goggle Voice # I was talking about!! But I suppose they may have figured it out if its the new "popular thing" people are doing...lol. I just said that I have one # that I call and receive calls from most and heard that some networks offer deals for 1 (or a few) # that you call alot. |
Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
I guess what I need to know is how to get Sprint add the "Pick 3" thingy (or whatever its called) onto my plan??
I never ever have gone over my anytime minutes cuz mostly everyone is another cell# so its free but sometimes I have to call a utility company during reg business hours and thats during my anytime minutes and they dont give a darn and usually have me on hold for half of forever. So I can manage without the "Pick 3" thingy but it would be nice to have if I can get it. |
Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!
Ok nevermind! I think I finally got lucky!! Or rather....I was lucky all along and just didnt know it!!
So I went online to pay my sprint bill and realized that I have this really old FREE promotion on my account called "Mobile to Home - Sprint to Home Plus LD Promo" which includes FREE incoming and outgoing calls to my home #. So all I had to do was call Customer Care and tell them that I changed my home phone # and need to give them my new one. Of course, I gave them my GV #. YAY!! Now I just gotta set up the conditional forwarding to my GV # and Ill be all set to go!! |
